music to dream to - celtic music
Loreena McKennitt
Her music is the sound of Scotland, Ireland... the lands of the Celts. Harp and other somewhat ancient instruments create a faraway sound, typical for the green isles, a wonderful music to dream to, to soar high over the ocean to a foreign shore...
If you love the TV-series "Highlander" and the episodes "Homeland" and "To be/Not to be" (especially the collage of Duncan MacLeod's life that's kind of an annexe to the series' finale), you'll immediately recognize "Bonny Portmore".
Loreena McKennitt has even set to music Tennyson's poem "The Lady of Shalott". I can't describe it properly - just try one of her CDs on your own, and you'll see.
