houston knights fan fiction

I cannot recall how I ever got into this fandom, especially since it's not like Houston Knights are well known or widely written in - the series also hasn't been released on DVD yet, which is a shame. I think I was hooked since the pilot when Lundy and LaFiamma started their partnership by beating the crap out of each other... a novelty in a cop/buddy show, I have to admit. Of course, it doesn't help that I have an unexplainable fascination with Michael Beck's looks. If only the fan fiction were as pretty to look at. Sadly, Houston Knights is the fandom in which I've found the highest number of godawful stories ever. OOCness seems to be the rule instead of the exception, harebrained PWPs dominate the scene, and let's not even talk about the strange need to make Lundy into the helpless, girly bottom. So, for the love of God, please don't scour the internet indiscriminately - read the handful of stories I recommend, and e-mail me in case you ever find something else that's readable. Thanks.

Review: If you have a few days with no pressing engagements of any kind, start reading this epic. It is long, involved, and, while sometimes a bit too domestic, still a joy to curl up somewhere with to simply read for hours on end. Levon loves Joe. Joe loves Levon. Considering that they want to remain partners, their love cannot be out in the open, and there are always their relatives to consider... as well as the past. A WIP that I hope will go on for a long time yet.
