brimstone fan fiction

Brimstone captured me from the get-go and certainly didn't deserve to be canceled after what not even amounted to a full first season. Ezekiel Stone was a deeply torn character, drawn to his past life and widow, Rosalyn, attracted to while aware that meeting her again would only put her in peril, happy to be back on earth and broken up over having to stay at the fringes of life due to the fact that he was strictly speaking not exactly alive. He'd lost out on 15 years and the subsequent changes in history and culture and knew that the devil would never grant him the time to catch up - after all, his boss already criticized him for eating and sleeping. Still, he never gave up and tried to hang onto the remnants of life - while strangely enough the devil never really punished him for doing so. It always felt rather like the devil liked to play games with or make fun of him and found him immensely entertaining. He always stood in his personal space, even showed up in bed next to him and liked to banter in a way that others would consider flirting. Slashy? As hell.

The stories are sorted by author and are most likely a mix of gen, possibly even het, and of course slash (of various pairings). Each story is clearly labeled as to its content and rating. Please abide by these criteria and only read what you're comfortable with/allowed to access. I will not be responsible if you don't.

Can he track down one of the hundred and thirteen without any help and without getting distracted by thinking about what happened on Friday night?

Review: Polly Hammer also is very gifted at capturing the emotional side of the devil - she gives him a feeling of sadness that captures your heart. Lucifer might be the Prince of Lies, but he has an emotional attachment to Stone that stays his hand before he manages to break his servant. I just wish Polly had written another sequel and explored the ramifications on the inescapable day Stone's job on earth is finished.

Title: Forbidden Fruit Story Length: ~ 54 KB Series: none Rating: NC-17 Category: Slash Warnings: violence Pairing: Ezekiel Stone / The Devil Time Frame: Post-Season 1 Genres: Action/Adventure, Drama Recommended: 06 Apr 2006 Summary: During the hunt for a serial killer, Stone receives more help from his employer than he'd have ever expected. Review: I will always regret that Varsha doesn't seem to have written more than two stories in the Brimstone fandom. Her devil remains the ruler of hell, but a more vulnerable side of his still manages to shine through - he cares for Stone, as unexpected and unwelcome as it might be, and he's stretching the rules a bit in order to help him get the next of the 113 souls still at large. The last few paragraphs are the bittersweet pinnacle of an already exemplary story and the final proof that this is - and remains - my all-time favorite.
