Observations of a Slash Slut:

There are some really hot stories here. I particularly enjoyed Hear No Evil, you'd be surprised at what Simon hears! lol! There's also some very nice interior art-work by Geli. The 'zine follows Jim and Blair's sweet "first-time" in Everlasting to their hot B/D/s scenes with Simon. Even though the first story under the Everlasting section is titled The End Of The World As We Know It, which I corrected in my ToC on this page, the title at the actual start of the story is Everlasting. I believe this may have been a misprint as there is a story by Shadow with the title, The End Of The World As We Know It, in the 'zine Whispers Of The Heart II. Confused? Just buy them all and you won't have to worry about it. ;-)

But Don't Take My Word For It!:

Angie's Rec

This is billed as being a novel, but it's actually a series of linked short and not-so-short stories. I am one of Shadow's biggest fans. I love her writing style, and think she has a beautiful way with words. If you've liked her work on the net, I think you'll like this one. This is pretty well the story of Jim and Blair's evolving relationship, hence the name, Everlasting. I know a lot of people didn't like the fact that come the third or fourth chapter, Jim and Blair invite Simon into a threesome. Threesomes aren't my major thing, either, but she handles it in a way that doesn't totally put me off. There's also some B/D in here too, but IMO it's very light stuff, so it shouldn't be too big a squick. Well-written, good quality zine, and a good price.
